Workshops are side events to the conference. Organizers are free in their choice of format. For example, a workshop can include panel discussions, interactive sessions, or invited talks. Organizers are expected to submit a description of the topic, the format they want for the workshop and their plans to advertise the workshop. The Conference Organizing Committee will review the workshop proposals, and if approved, the Workshop Organizers are autonomous in setting up the program. Workshops can last half a day or a full day. The papers or posters presented during the workshop are not reviewed by the Program Committee and therefore are not included in the conference proceedings. However, they may be submitted to a suitable journal of the IEEE Sensors Council before or after the Conference. If Organizers wish to define a topic and solicit papers to be peer-reviewed, then Focused Sessions are the better format.
